We sell round aluminum tubing, both drawn and extrusions, from 3/8" Outside Diameter up to 2" Outside Diameter in 1/8" increments. We offer a variety of aluminum wall thicknesses. These aluminum extrusion tubes are high quality, light weight, made in the USA, and many of these are available for telescopic aluminum tubing applications (where indicated).

Many of our tubes are well suited for telescopic applications, with tight tolerances on both the wall thickness and ovality. Our drawn aluminum tubes nest one inside the other to enable snag free telescoping. These are often paired with our locking mechanisms, sold separately. These tubes can be used for other non-telescoping applications as well.

What types of round aluminum tubing does Testrite Aluminum offer?

We offer both extruded and drawn aluminum tubing. Extruded tubing has large tolerances, meaning some parts of the tube may be thinner or thicker than other areas. The OD can vary as well. A Drawn aluminum tube is Drawn over a Mandrel after being extruded. This extra step ensured tight tolerances on wall thickness, OD, and ovality (roundness). We stock .038" wall extruded aluminum tubing, along with .038", .049", and .058" wall drawn aluminum tubing.

Why is 6063 the most popular alloy for round aluminum tubing?

6063 Is an ideal alloy for aluminum tubing as it is highly machinable. In addition, 6063 anodized very well, providing a better surface finish. For round aluminum tubing, 6063 offers the ideal set of features.
